Full Stack Engineer (AI experimented)

We're looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications across the entire stack—from crafting responsive user interfaces to building robust backend systems and optimizing database performance. This is a hands-on role where you'll have a direct impact on our product and work closely with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do
• Implement, expand, and improve an existing high-usage web platform
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Laravel and React
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and third-party integrations
• Write efficient, optimized MySQL queries and manage database performance for production workloads
• Adhere to best practices to maintain and improve scalability, performance, secure development processes, accessibility, and internal coding standards
• Develop, maintain, and enforce unit tests to ensure the platform's robustness and reliability
• Triage, investigate, and resolve production and tech support issues that may go beyond the scope of frontend, including root cause analysis and proposing long-term solutions
• Advocate for outstanding user experiences (UX) across the company, influencing product and design decisions based on technical feasibility and user-centric design principles
• Ensure quality of code delivery by leveraging code reviews, thorough testing, and collaborating with peers
• Take ownership of delivering high-quality software that drives business value
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features

Requirements
• 5+ years of professional experience with PHP
• 5+ years of experience with Laravel framework
• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• 5+ years of experience with React
• High level of proficiency with JavaScript/React and PHP, with a focus on crafting clean, maintainable code
• Extensive experience with MySQL, advanced filtering, joins, grouping, sorting, and query optimization for production environments
• Experience crafting performant queries in relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Expert-level proficiency in building CRUD applications using RESTful API design principles
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and design patterns
• Understanding of foundational software engineering principles and a solid foundation in enterprise web application design, architecture, and development
• Proficiency with Git for version control, including best practices for branching, merging, and commits
• Strong collaboration skills, a team player who works well with various stakeholders including Engineering and Customer Support
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical ideas simply and clearly
• Intrinsic motivation to excel both individually and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• English (B2+)

Nice to Have
• Experience with Laravel and Tailwind CSS
• Experience working on SaaS platforms, e-commerce products, or platforms like Shopify and BigCommerce
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and security best practices
• Experience with AWS services such as RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, EC2, and API Gateway
• Experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Datastream, and Cloud Functions
